Electromagnetic Field in the Air Generated by a Horizontal Electric Dipole Located in the Spherical Electrically Earth Coated with a Dielectric Layer

چکیده
|In this paper, the region of interest consists of the spherical dielectric earth, coated with a dielectric layer under the air. First, we will derive the formulas for the electromagnetic eld in the earth of a vertical electric dipole located in the air and those of a vertical magnetic dipole, respectively. Then, the formulas for the components of the eld in the air generated by a horizontal electric dipole are obtained by using the reciprocity theorem. Finally, the computations will be carried out.

Electromagnetic Field of a Horizontal Elec- Tric Dipole Buried in a Four-layered Region
In this paper, the electromagnetic field of a horizontal electric dipole buried in a four-layered region is treated in detail. The region of interest consists of a perfect conductor, coated with the twolayered dielectrics under the air. Because of existing multi-reflections, the final representations of the six field components are much more complex. It is noted that the trapped surface wave an...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Field from a Vertical Electric Dipole in a Four-layered Region
In this paper, the region of interest consists of a perfect conductor, coated with the two layer dielectrics under the air. The completed analytical formulas have been derived for the electromagnetic field due to a vertical electric dipole in the four-layered region when both the source point and observation point are located in the upper dielectric layer. Similar to the three-layered case, the...
متن کاملAn Algorithm for Modeling and Interpretation of Seismoelectric Data
Generally speaking, seismoelectric modeling is a prospecting method based on seismic and electromagnetic waves, in which waves generated by a seismic source at the boundary of the two environments generate a relative fluid-solid motion formed as a result of antagonism between the elastic properties of the environment with the saturated fluid. This research has as its objective, a study of the e...
متن کاملA Study of Electromagnetic Radiation from Monopole Antennas on Spherical-Lossy Earth Using the Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method
Radiation from monopole antennas on spherical-lossy earth is analyzed by the finitedifference time-domain (FDTD) method in spherical coordinates. A novel generalized perfectly matched layer (PML) has been developed for the truncation of the lossy soil. For having an accurate modeling with less memory requirements, an efficient "non-uniform" mesh generation scheme is used. Also in each time step...
متن کاملModified Physical Optics Approximation for RCS Calculation of Electrically Large Objects with Coated Dielectric
The Radar Cross Section of a target plays an important role in the detection of targets by radars. This paper presents a new method to predict the bistatic and monostatic RCS of coated electrically large objects. The bodies can be covered by lossy electric and/or magnetic Radar Absorbing Materials (RAMs). These materials can be approximated by the Fresnel reflection coefficients. The pro...
